Microwaves Review
Product Comparisons

Getting a good microwave is very important. That's because it tends to be one of the most used appliances in our homes. Picking a microwave is usually a design choice rather than making a choice based on features. That's because this is a very established product, so they all have very similar functionality.

We've picked a number of microwaves for all budgets below.

If you are on a budget, we recommend the Panasonic NN-SD372S. It has all the functionality of the top range, but at half the cost.

If you can spend a bit more, we recommend the Panasonic Genius Sensor SD962S which is a great mid-range model.

And if you want to go all out, we recommend the Panasonic Genius Prestige SE982S...since it's the top of the line model and has inverter technology which means you don't end up with food that's scalding hot at the top and sides and is still cool once you dig in. And since the cost difference is so low, it's worth splurging on.

When it comes to microwaves, the extra cost goes mostly to design. And since the difference is so low, it's worth spending a few bucks more to get the top of the line mode.

The Good
These have all the modern features that you could ever use.
The Bad
The biggest negative is that stainless steel appliances require a lot more maintenance. They show spots and thumbprints and some will even develop surface rust if you spill water on them. The rust is easily removed(that's the point of buying stainless steel)...but it's still something to keep in mind.
